Exclamation Before You Post In This Forum ...

1) FIRST AND FOREMOST: NO COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING! The power to ban users doing so will be swift and without mercy. This is a user supported site. If you feel that you can assist a particular user with a specific item or problem then use email or leave a private message.

2) STOP AND THINK. There is a wide variety of equipment covered by the term "Definity Servers" ... so, please be sure, in your initial post, to mention the PBX type (G3si, G3r, S8300/G700, ProLogix, etc). and the RELEASE that the PBX is running ... particularly the RELEASE. The commands change, procedures change, even the architure changes and it's very difficult to give a meaningful answer to a question without this information. A failure to provide this information with your initial post will likely cause you to experience a delay in receiving the information that you seek while someone replies to your post with the question "What release are you running?" We want to assist you in resolving your issue as quickly as possible. Help us help you by providing us with as much information as possible.

3) Definity/Communication Manager Licensing is non-transferable. That means if you bought a used system on eBay or from a bankruptcy sale, what you "legally" bought was only the hardware ... i.e. spare parts. Questions on how to re-license the software have been previously answered in this forum and a quick search will yield the desired results. Requests for information on how to reset passwords in order circumvent Avaya's licensing requirements (no matter how ridiculous they may be) will not be entertained or tolerated in this forum. Do it right or do it elsewhere.

4) Use the forum tools to SEARCH and see if your problem has been addressed before. Believe it or not, you're not the only camper with a mosquito in his tent. A quick search from the main Definity page under "Search This Forum" just might provide you with the insecticide that you need to rid yourself of your particular bug.

regs,
