Time Syncronisation

Hi,

Is it possible to script time syncronisation with a server?

I have installed ASA on the server that I wish to sync the definity with and would like to have it sync daily, but it appears that I have to have ASA running all the time for this to happen, I can't just schedule a task to run in windows. If I schedule it in ASA, it will only run if ASA is running.

Any help would be appreciated, I would ultimately like to have a script running on the server to sync ASA automatically.

Regards.

Re: Time Syncronisation

What release are you running on your PBX? CM release supports NTP configuration but release 10 and under, you'll have to use ASA.

Re: Time Syncronisation

Your switches support NTP. If you have a server/router set up to serve NTP, you are in good shape. If not, you would want to get that going, then time off of that.

Really? What is the command in a G3si to set up NTP?

Re: Time Syncronisation

It is possible to create a script in vba in a spreadsheet that will set the time to the pc time which you can then schedule. You would need to use the send keys option to automatically operate eith ASA or a terminal emulator.

If you cant do this then asa is your only option.

:shame:
