Time Syncronisation
Hi,
Is it possible to script time syncronisation with a server? I have installed ASA on the server that I wish to sync the definity with and would like to have it sync daily, but it appears that I have to have ASA running all the time for this to happen, I can't just schedule a task to run in windows. If I schedule it in ASA, it will only run if ASA is running. Any help would be appreciated, I would ultimately like to have a script running on the server to sync ASA automatically. Regards. |

Re: Time Syncronisation
What release are you running on your PBX? CM release supports NTP configuration but release 10 and under, you'll have to use ASA.

Re: Time Syncronisation
Your switches support NTP. If you have a server/router set up to serve NTP, you are in good shape. If not, you would want to get that going, then time off of that.

Re: Time Syncronisation
It is possible to create a script in vba in a spreadsheet that will set the time to the pc time which you can then schedule. You would need to use the send keys option to automatically operate eith ASA or a terminal emulator.
If you cant do this then asa is your only option. :shame: |
