Installing an new EPN

Does anybody know how to administer the TN573b circuit pack when installing a new EPN? Our company wants to move the warehouse ops to a building about 2 miles away so I need to get this setup sometime in early May. I have a spare EPN with all the hardware that I believe I would need to install it including the long range 9823b transceiver.

Thanks

Complete instructions can be found here: http://support.avaya.com/japple/css/...ss.UsageUpdate()

Specifically, you're looking at Chapter 5 (Adding New Carriers and EPN Cabinets) as well as Appendix A (Fiber Link Administration). If you need help, don't hesitate to IM. If you need a vendor on-site, call and I can drive down to San Antonio.

Going 2 miles you will want to use T1 links, and they are very easy to setup. If you cant get the info from the manual that Al posted we can walk you through it easy enough.

Actually, if they already have the fiber in the ground, the distance limitation on the 9823B transeiver with multi-mode fiber is 25,000 feet (or about 4.7 miles). My preference would be for fiber in that case.

The 300A transciever will work up to 22 miles on single-mode fiber as well.

Re: Installing an new EPN

I just talked to the contractor installing the fiber this morning and it turns out that they are going with single-mode fiber to the new warehouse so I plan on going with two 300a transceivers for the ppn/epn connection.
