Red face Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

I have 5 users in a hunt group. Some of the users are getting skipped in the hunt order. The users are not on their phone at the time, nor are their phones forwarded, send calls is also not activated. The users are in the same pick-up group and can manually pick up the call but it does not ring to them. Am I missing something besides adding them to the hunt group? Does their coverage path have to be something special?

I am sure this is a newbie problem, but I appreciate the help.:shame:

Is this an EAS enviroment or are people just members of a hunt group?

I don't know what EAS is...but it is just 5 people in a hunt group. An office with a very definite pecking order. Low person gets the call first.

Re: Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

Check the group type on the Hunt group page, if it should be set to DDC it will then start to deliver calls in order of the assigned members - starting with member 1

Re: Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

thank you. It was set at ddc but other groups were UCD-mia so I changed it. But my other groups are not like this office so maybe that was a wrong change. What is the difference between UCD-mia and DDC?

Re: Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

UCD-MIA will route calls to the Most Idle Agent (which in the example of a non-acd hunt group like yours will be a station), most idle meaning the station/extension that has been waiting longest for a call. DDC is Direct Department Calling and will call the first assigned member then follow on down the list in order.

Re: Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

is the hunt group is set up as an ACD? if so, the stations will have to be 'logged-in' to the hunt group to get calls.

Re: Hunt problem - Probably simple question.

No, ACD hunt groups are basically skills/splits, you're creating a hunt group that is a UCD hunt group that will route calls to stations/extensions in the order specified, so ACD=n, skill=n, vector=n.
