Group Paging Issue

I recently added Group-Page on a set of telephones. About 2 hours later, the user states speaker phones are lighting up and random voices/conversations are being heard. When I went to see what was happening, it definitely was calls being randomly picked up from the operator; not only could you hear the converstations, you could interact with them. As soon as I turned off group page, the phones stopped picking up calls. I checked with the PBX operator, and she said that she want not pressing any buttons, just answering the calls as normal. The desk that has the ability to group page was not used today.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible you may have used an extension number for the group-page that's also used in the trunk group for incoming or night calls? A problem would manifest itself as you described.

Could also be possible that users are not dialing ars code and accessing the group page extension?

After a few weeks, I tried it again and the same issue has occurred. I built the codes as an abbreviated dial, and sure enought the minute I put it on, they started hearing the PBX operator's calls.
