Adding Voice ports to Intuity

I currently have 18 ports in my Intuity. When I do a "System Monitor" the last 6 ports (the last Card) are in a Manoos state. Seems as though I have room to add 6 more extensions and I need it desperatly. After I add extensions to my audix hunt group in the PBX, how do I incorporate that into the Intuity side?

Avaya tells me I can do it in like 1/2 hour and it wouldn't be service effecting, but won't let me know how unless I buck up $260 per hour for their time.

Thanks in advance!

In the PBX you need to create extensions associate with those 6 lines, then add them to the hunt group.
Then in Audix you have to add the 6 extension. (properly)

Let me know if you dont know how to do each of these steps.

Re: Adding Voice ports to Intuity

I've done this on a similar platform (Conversant MAP 100) and looked at our audix system. On ours you simply modify the Voice Equipment. Under the main menu I select Voice System Admin --> Voice Equipment --> F8(Actions) --> Assign/Change . Then I assisgn voice equipment to a channel and make sure that the correct service to the channel. You can kind of fumble through this as Audix allows you to see choices for each option.

I would think that someone will probably have better info for you but here are my 2 cents. If you get no other more qualified help I can try to assist you further.

Re: Adding Voice ports to Intuity

that is how you do it. I would just add to make the port in service afterward.

Re: Adding Voice ports to Intuity

fataldata & G3Rtech,

Thanks for the support. This looks to be right on. I'm going to try and do it after-hours, I'm a little nervous doing this during the day, this system get's hit like crazy.

Thanks again,
rcarney
