I recently received a letter that Avaya will no longer be supporting CMS r3v9 after March 31st. 2005. I do understand this as upgrades are always better. The problem that I have is I contacted an Avaya business partner to get a guote on an upgrade. He suggested EAS version. I asked him to send me the quote. Our system has only been in place for two years. I was quite shocked when he told me it would be $46,000.00 dollars to get the upgrade. My question is to anyone out there in TELECO land is this my only option to go with EAS or is there another upgrade that I could get that would not cost as much? Avaya also said that cms licenses, additional agents, memory, and disks can no longer be purchased. So this means I can't just bite the bullet and just pay to have a tech repair if an issue comes up.
Thanks to all! |

Re: Avaya support CMS R3V9
Typical Avaya I had the same problem and have upgraded from V6 to V11, but I did not go through Avaya I went through one of there partners called Sabio. It was half the price to do this with Sabio they are running a promotion at the moment on upgrading
