Question Bridged Appearances

I've been going around about this for a while, and still can't come up with a good solution.

There is a group of office workers that want to have the ability to pick up the same phone call (ringing simultaneously), and be able to put the call on hold and go to another station and pick up the call again.

When the office was first cut over, we used Bridged Appearances. The problem is that someone at another station could pick up the Bridged call and be able to hear both sides of the conversation.

The other option that I am using is a coverage answer group. This prevents someone from listening in on the call; the "problem" is if they want to pick up the call at another station, they have to park the call and pick it up.

Is there anyway possible for either a Bridged Appearance to be secured (prevent someone from picking up the call w/o some sort of code)? Or is there a way to program the transfer button as a FAC? Or is there another way to do this?

We are using a Definity 8700, the phones are 2420s.

There is an "Exclusion" feature. See documentation:
Exclusion: allows multiappearance telephone users to keep other users with appearances of the same extension from bridging onto an existing call. If the user press the
Exclusion button while other users are already bridged onto the call, the other users are dropped. There are two means of activating exclusion.
Manual Exclusion — when the user presses the Exclusion button (either before dialing or during the call).
Automatic Exclusion — as soon as the user picks up the handset. To turn off Automatic Exclusion during a call, the user presses the Exclusion button. To use Automatic Exclusion, set the Automatic Exclusion by COS field to y on the Feature-Related System Parameters screen.

Talking Re: Bridged Appearances

About 10 minutes after I posted this, I happened to see the "Exclusion" feature. Ironically, it's working.

Thanks for the reply!

Re: Bridged Appearances

You may activate the Data Restriction feature on the station page, that will provide privacy for brdg-app.
