Hi guys,
I'm new to this group as well as to the Definity G3rV9. We are trying to connect to the pbx from our site administrator via the network. However, it returns the error "login resources unavailable". We can successfully logon via the serial port of the switch. I attempted to search the extensive quantum of pdf files provided by the supplier however it is become a challenge. Could anyone assist. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Logging on via Site Administrator
Thanks guys,
We do have a c-lan card installed and configured for ip services wiht both an ip address and assigned port numbers. It succesffully worked in the past and we were able to connect directly to the box and confirm the configurations are still there. With respect to the Ip-services component, I was the only person logged in at the time. Delima now... |

Re: Logging on via Site Administrator
So what you are saying is if I have a CLAN card I can access ASA over the web? I'm not sure if this is a correct statement, but this is what I'm looking at.
I would like to be able to go to any desktop with web access, within our network and access the switch to make changes right on the spot. Is this possible? |

Bottom Line: If you can reach the LAN you can telnet to the PBX if the above conditions are met. regs, .al.

Re: Logging on via Site Administrator
Using G3RV9.5....I have added the CLAN to the network and with ASA I am able to connect via the CLAN....
Now is there a way to connect to the switch using the telnet command from a windows DOS screen. Should I be able to go the START... RUN... Type "telnet (IP Address)" and connect? |

Re: Logging on via Site Administrator
NO, telnet by itself attaches to port 23. You need to telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx yyyy where y ist he port. The problem you will have then is with keyboard emulation unless you use ASA, DSA, Tnova, Procomm.
