Hello all,
What is the command to find out what the phone numbers are in a certain trunk group?? For example Our trunk group 1 has 8 ports assigned to it. Is there any way to figure out the number for each port? Since this is one of our remote sites and there is no IT guy at this location, I'd be relying on any average joe to walk thru the commands.

CO-Trunks? Well, you can use the Facility Test access code to access each trunk individually and then call a phone number that has caller ID (like your cell phone) and identify each trunk that way. Here's how you use Facility Access Test:

1) change feature-access-code and assign a FAC for the Facility Test
2) make sure that the station you are using has a COR with Facility Test Access set to "y"
3) Dial the FAC followed by the trunk location like this: NNCSSPP where NN is the port network and is always 2 digits, C is the carrier and is always 1 digit (1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=E), SS is the slot and is always 2 digits, and PP is the port and is always two digits.

Example: You want to address port 01C0302 and the FAC for Facility Test access is 199. You would dial 199<pause for dramatic effect>0130302<you should now hear dialtone ... not just any dialtone but the actual dialtone of the CO-Trunk). Using Facility Test Accss bypasses CDR and gives the accessed user all of the rights and permissions assigned to the actual trunk by the phone company so don't set standard CORs with the ability to access the FAC and don't share the information freely with others. You can also do this remotely via the remote access extension without even employing joe average at the site.
