Question Environmental Conditions for S8700 Install

Does anyone have or know where to find environmental considerations for the installation of an S8700. I have found info on Temp. and Humidity but my boss has asked for RF and EMI conditions of installation. I'm thinking that the REQ's will be similar to our existing G3R although I don't know those at the moment either.

Basically we will be installing this system near(@25ft seperated by cinder block wall) a very large electric generator as well as the 3 phase 480v power used to drive it. So I have been asked to get these spec's.

Re: Environmental Conditions for S8700 Install

So, I've asked this question to Avaya Support and I get the answer that through our sales rep a site team will evaluate our situation and provide us with specs prior to install. Sounds like crap to me, I can't get the specs on a product I intend to purchase and install independently? What a joke. The whole reason we haven't asked our rep is b/c of the bosses past experience's with their competency.

I know a PM who has these specs and have requested them via email. I had them myself but lost them in a HD crash on Jan 1. May take a few days but I'm working on it for ya.

Here it be ... everything you ever wanted to know about Communication Manager hardware and then some. I have a feeling that extracting the specific information that you desire may be a painful process but it's probably in here ...

Re: Environmental Conditions for S8700 Install

Thanks Al,
It was relatively easy to find the info on EMI/RFI site requirements. Unfortunately Avaya only states that their equipment meets the code for non-radio transmitter emmission levels. Not what levels of interference will degrade it's performance. So we are consulting our BICSI experts and trying to get our hands on a spectrum analyzer to evaluate the site. Thanks again for your help. I hope I am able to return the favor some day.
