Question Meet-me conf Vector#1

Could someone one give me a "step by step" to activate a simple meet-me conf on a G3si V11? (it's active on the $ page) This will be Vector #1 in my switch, so you see I'm a bit confused. I have read about it in the admin docs, but the one I want to build needs to have only the outside access DID VDN! Or whatever it takes for 6 employees from the outside or within the switch to call in directly to the bridge... We have no operator and the entire switch is using DID. ( No passwords or announcements at this time.)

Thanks,
Mike

The Little Instrction Book Advanced Admin 555-233-757 has the steps for setting up your VDN and Vector

Re: Meet-me conf Vector#1

In the VDN:
Meet-me Conferencing? y
Conference Access Code: 123456
Conference Controller: 5000 (controllers extension)

In the Vector:
Meet-me Conf? y
01 wait-time 0 secs hearing ringback
02 collect 6 digits after announcement 37748 (enter your conference passcode)
03 goto step 5 if digits = meet-me-access
04 goto step 2 if unconditionally
05 goto step 9 if meet-me-full
06 announcement 37764 (passcode accepted)
07 route-to meetme
08 stop
09 disconnect after announcement 37749 (sorry the conference call is full)

G3tech,
So if I understand you, I will need an announcement board with 3 pre-programmed announcements to complete this vector. Correct?

Actually, if you do it according to "the book" you will have 6 announcements:

1) Welcome: Enter Access Code
2) Access Code Wrong: Try Again
3) Access Code Still Wrong: COntact Conf Coordinator
4) You are the first participant
5) The conference is already in progress
6) The conference is full

The Conference coordinator is set up on page 2 of the VDN form and the extension listed there can change the conference code via FAC. Here is Avaya's meet-me vector ... I have made the announcement numbers the same as the list above for simplicity:

01 collect 6 digits after announcement 1
02 goto step 6 if digits = meet-me-access
03 collect 6 digits after announcement 2
04 goto step 6 if digits = meet-me-access
05 disconnect after announcement 3
06 goto step 11 if meet-me-idle
07 goto step 14 if meet-me-full
08 announcement 5
09 route-to meetme
10 stop
11 announcement 4
12 route-to meetme
13 stop
14 disconnect after announcement 6
15 stop

Re: Meet-me conf Vector#1

For some reason I can't imput the meet-me-idle or the meet-me-full! In other words your steps #6 and #7.
I have have Enhanced Conf. checked "Y" on the money page, and I am a V11 G3si..
Anything I could be missing?

Mike

Re: Meet-me conf Vector#1

Sorry, I messed up,
The conf is "Y" , the Attendant Vectoring is "N"... but on the left side the "Basic" is "N" and the Little admin Book shows a "Y". I can't change that one..

You got me stumped there. My suggestion would be to call Avaya (800-242-2121) and explain that you've followed the instructions in the manual but it's not working and describe the problem to them just as you have for us. Let us know what you find out.

Me also. I know if the Meet-me is set to NO in the vector then the options he listed will not show. Must be some sort of licencing issue then. Avaya needs to fix this: Basic is "N"

Thank you to everyone who helped, I'm stumped at this point myself. I will have AVAYA look in to it and give a brief explanation as to what I have wrong.

This site is a great resource, hats off to all..

Re: Meet-me conf Vector#1

I wanted to complete the thought process on this question and thank everyone for their input. The reason I couldn't complete the Meet-Me vector was that 2 of my G3si V11 switches needed a patch downloaded by Avaya.

Thanks again..
