Question remote cover path problems

We have several remote users who have in the past simply used their home office telephones... but have recently requested regular extensions at the corporate office, where callers could be transferred and be routed to their home office telephone.

I added the extensions, used a separate cover path for each where the first (and only) coverage point was a remote cover path that goes to their home telephone number. Seemed to work fine... until other employees tried to dial the extensions. They get the "cover" tone and then a fast busy (not a wave-off). The only difference between the general user population and myself is in the COR and COS - COR being that I have access to Facility Test Calls and COS being that I have console permissions. Everything else is EXACTLY the same. If I change another user to my COR, it works - they can call the extensions and are routed out via the remote cover path.

Seems I've checked and re-checked everything and I can't figure out what the problem is, but I've apparently overlooked something.

Definity Prologix, MultiVantage version 11, Octel voice mail.

Any ideas?

Do a "stare and compare" of the COR "calling permissions" page and make sure that they are the same.

Cna the users dial that number directly? You might have an FRL issue.

Thanks - but I've stared till my eyeballs are falling out, and also printed everything out to share for staring. They are exactly the same except for the Facility Trunk Test. Can you think of anything else?

Yep, the users can dial the number directly. I tried raising the FRL just for the heck of it, but it didn't have any effect.

Can you think of anything else I could try? Thanks!

I know you looked at the COR extensively, have you verified the non-workling COR(s) are not partitioned? Also make sure the trunk COR is not restricted from the user's COR. How about the restricted calls list? Maybe youcan give us some screen shots to compare.

Thank you Koelemon..... yes, I believe I have verified all that. Except for the COR's being partitioned... do you mean in a partition-routing way or a different tenant partition? I want to make sure I'm checking exactly what you've mentioned.

Which screen shots would be useful? Thanks so much for your help!

On the first page of the COR form it will say Time Of Day Chart or Partition Group Number, this is for ARS partitioning.

Yep, they are all the same, Time of Day Chart 1. All the COR's.
Here's more info - I did a list trace on a station that is unable to dial these extensions. Here's what I got:

time data

16:34:43 tone-receiver 01A0202 cid 0xa1
16:34:43 active station 3407 cid 0xa1
16:34:44 dial 3454
16:34:44 redirect station 3454 cid 0xa1
16:34:48 coverage-path 15 point 1 cid 0xa1
16:34:48 denial event 1756: Caller fwdto COR restrict D1=0x80 D2=0x10
16:34:48 denial event 1016: Remote Cvg loop denial D1=0x80 D2=0xa1
16:34:48 dial 91425788
16:34:48 reorder station 3454 cid 0xa1
16:34:50 idle station 3407 cid 0xa1

I tried to get Avaya to help me with these denial even codes and managed to get the woman to rattle off a couple of "definitions" for me - the denial event 1756 means "deny route forward remote caller can’t term the cor restriction forwarded to party" and 1016 means "Outgoing remote coverage call with digit conversion to principals extension prevent looping. Deny receiving loop.". This may be my answer, but I can't interpret it any further to know where to look next!

In the Display Events log there were a couple that might be related, too, but I'm not sure.

What do you think? Thank you!!

This is too obvious and you've probably already checked this in the COS but check that trunk-to-trunk transfer over-ride is set to "y" as well as not restricting coverage off-net.

regs,

Trunk to trunk transfer override is set to N and Restrict call forward off net is Y - BUT, it is the same for all COS's. Mine included, which can dial those extensions. And, if I change those 2 settings, it makes no difference, the user still cannot dial those extensions.

What did you think about the denial codes - any ideas where I might be able to get a good interpretation of what they mean?

Thanks so much for your help!

Can you post the details of the RCP? It may assist in diagnosing.

The COR screens of a working and non-working COR would be good to see
