Speakerphone

are there any types of external speakerphones that work with a 6424D Telephone?

Also, can you establish a 5 person conference call off a regular 6424 phone and then transfer to a Polycom unit since the polycom doesn't have a conferencing option?

Dunno about the speakerphone. However you could conference in the Polycomm and then hang up your phone. Also, if you use the Flash Hook on the Polycomm it can do conference calls.

I prefer to use the Meet-me vectors then it doesnt matter much.

My company doesn't have vectoring turned on. But are you saying to conference in the polycom unit and then mute the regular phone or can I establish a 5 party conference call from the phone and then transfer it to the Polycom?

Yes you can transfer that call to the polycom and it should be fine
