Download the firmware from the Avaya support site, FTP it to the VAL board then schedule the board to update.

Red G Your 2501ap card should have an rj 45 lan connection in the back of it. You need to go into your definity and type: ip-node-names
This will give your ip address for your val board. Then plug your network cable into your val and then into your lan. Go to start-run-type command. A dos window will appear with a flashing cursor.Type ping (whatever your val ip is) and you should get a reply. Then install a floppy in your drive and follow the directions for an FTP backup of your announcements. These directions are on Avaya.com

Hope this was helpfull
