Re: Cisco IP system might replace my avaya

We are doing a similar thing with our Cisco VOIP system. However, instead of just replacing everything at once we are replacing our remote Partner systems with VOIP. So far so good it is really not all that difficult. The biggest problem that we have is our Unity voicemail system and Call Managers. Since they both are windows based systems we get to do alot of patch downloads because windows is not very stable. As far as the Cisco routers and switches go they are very stable and can be configured for remote survivability. I would suggest getting a good vendor to help you guys out like NEC. I would also suggest doing this migration in small steps as opposed to doing the whole thing at once. That is career suicide.
