Data bandwidth on shared T1

G3Si CM2.0

Sorry if this is not strictly Definity related but I am sure some of you guys are experienced in segmenting voice and data across a T1 so I am looking for some direction.

I have a point to point T1 between two buildings with a paradayne units breaking out my data and voice channels. Channels 1-12 are 56K each for Data. Channels 13-23 are voice. The way I understand it is 56K times 12 channels = 672K. I am running backups at night at a remote location across these channels. At best, I get half that rate. My backup software reports that I average about 200kb/sec, yet when I back up a server without crossing the T1 I get 1600KB/sec. I would expect to be using most of the 672K available since at night there is no traffic going across those channels.

Are there other tests I can run to see where the bottleneck might be?
