1) TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) is an IAB standard and is defined in RFC 1350. It is not unique to Avaya.
2) The Avaya TFTP server sucks ... even Avaya admits that. Their TFTP Server was written and provided simply for those "technoplegic" customers who are unable to locate a REAL TFTP server for themselves.
My recommendation is simply this: Scrap Avaya's TFTP Server and get a real one. There are many. There's one located in the previous thread that I mentioned, Cisco makes one, and here's a link to a free TFTP server by Solar Winds:
