You have a digital or analog station port that is assigned the extension number of the user you're trying to log the phone in as. Either change the extension programmed into the IP hardphone, or locate the guilty port under Extensions in manager and change it to something else.

If you want the same user to be able to hotdesk into either a digital phone or and IP phone, neither of the Extensions can have the user's extension number. For example, Bob has extension 501 programmed in his user form. He wants to switch between a 4620 in his home office and a 2420 at his regular office. The voip extension and the digital port that his 2420 phone are physically plugged into both need to have arbitrary extensions assigned to them, neither one being 501. He can then hotdesk into either as 501.
