Thanks for your replies! Unfortunately, our DHCP owner is not willing to assign an infinite lease for the telephones. We have folks moving constantly from floor to floor and they move their telephones with them, so they would have a lease on previous and current floor vlans. And the DHCP owner does not want to assign reserve ip's via mac addresses for each phone. :smack:

Considering this happens once in a blue moon, I'm going to suggest a longer lease time. Let's say 30 days, so the telephones will send a request every 15 days. I do believe they currently have the lease set to three days. I found in one of Avaya's docs that the lease should be six weeks.
