This is a little trick that has saved me many hours of trouble shooting when I suspect power problems or if a system seems to be rebooting for no reason. Plug a digital clock into the same outlet as the phone system and set the time. If the time is flashing 12:00 you know the power went out and maybe time for a ups or if you have one, maybe time for a new one. This is even something that you can prove to your customers what the problem is....
