Re: DCS+, IDS+ & BSR Features over Cisco Gateway

We have a number of PtP T-1s connecting being used for DCS+, Voice Mail Services, BSR features & IDS+ our data group wants to see if we can consolidate those services over our PIP to reduce our monthly recurring. An AVAYA BP that I respect suggested strongly waiting until we upgrade our processors to S8700 and update our software releases (we're at v10). We're not trying to VoIP per say (thus no MedPros), just trying to convert/consolidate the long haul transport & features.

Crudely:

TN464 DS1 --> Cisco Transparent Gateway w/ TCCS --> PIP --> Cisco Transparent Gateway w/ TCCS --> TN464DS1

According to Cisco, DCS+ features, BSR & IDS+ features should pass without any issue. I have had experience that points to the counter and the IPT convergence expert highly suggested waiting until we migrate to QSIQ. No QSIQ features are enabled at the moment, but again, according to Cisco that won't be an issue.

I'm also concerned about our CTI UUI information along with IDS+...

A classic: "Cisco said, AVAYA said" scenario...

I'm just looking for anyone that might have deployed something similiar.
