I appreciate the importance of support from Avaya and our direct supplier, however with a saving of between £500-1000 by installing CCC on a dedicated (i.e. without VMLite) machine it's a risk I'm prepared to take.
I'd much rather use the money to upgrade an old Win98 user, etc.
Wouldn't you agree, with the documentation available from Avaya, the frequent software updates/fixes and forums like this Avaya's support isn't really that critical ?
Besides, if one day it all goes wrong I can easily upgrade to W2k Server (it doesn't look like the business will become dependant on CCC, a couple of days downtime is acceptable).
If CCC ever becomes more than just a management toy (e.g. CRM integration, etc.) then I believe me I'll want to keep it as stable as possible and will re-evaluate this decision.
