CCC Server Requirements

We're planning on setting up CCC but there are some potential complications regarding system requirements.
The Avaya training guide states that CCC needs to be installed on a computer running Windows 2000 Server.
As we're running Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 it may not be possible to add another server.
I believe this limitation is due to MSDE (Microsoft Database Engine) not allowing network connectivity when installed on a non-server operating system.
Do you know of anyone that has successfully installed CCC on an SBS2003 network ?
Avaya confirm that CCC will work under Windows Server 2003, but due to restrictions in SBS2003 we can't assume it'll also be compatible.
Assuming SBS2003 is compatible, if we use a separate SQL box (allowable under the SBS license) we can probably host CCC on that (so long as it can use the existing installation of SQL).
Any comments would be gratefully received.
Our Avaya reseller is currently asking Avaya Technical the same question, I'll let you know the response.
