Yeah, I've seen this done as well.. but they don't want to spend the money for a machine to spew music. (the current servers do not have sound cards on them) The snazzy way I saw it done was they had an MP3 playlist that was http accessable. Meaning you could change the order, upload new "songs" and everything all from a web browser. Super neat.
I would use a CD player, but they are too cheap for that, so radio it is.
