Guys,
I have just finally completed the ACS Core, I did the Design Elective some months ago.
I have copies of the old CD's if they help, although my colleage has them right now.
In my personal opinion if you know data stuff and just think data you can pass the core. You need to be sure you know a Layer 2 (ethernet) switch, firewalls, Lans and WANs. Most of the questions revolved around customer scenarios, the customer has a, b and c, what are your considerations etc. Although there are some straight technology questions, match these technologies, 1000 MBPS = Gigabit, 10 Mbps Ethernet. There are some wireless question as well. If you don't know data stuff your stuck.
As usual Avaya throw in some completely wierd questions, what is the space between the ceiling tiles and the floor above?? Ceiling void? no way, not even an optsion. I suppose ithas a proper name and its inthe book some where. Unfortunately you have to accept that some people setting these questions are not in the real world.
My opinion, it was tough, not technically though.
