I think what we have is a clocking problem, am I correct in thinking that one PBX should recover the clock signal from the line? How do I check/set the master/slave status of the cards?
Both PBX are Prologix both having DS1 cards of type TN464F.
thanks,
Tom.

If I am answering the wrong question, just ignore me, I am only firing on three cylanders and it makes spelling and thinking difficult.
As far as clocking, u can check the synch of the pbx by " status sync". If a pbx has a ds1 connected to the outside world, then the syn should be set to that board for timing. If u have a network of pbx and tied together, then one pbx should be syn to the ds1 that is the most reliable outside source. Then all the other pbx should be synched to this pbx by synching off of the tie that connects to the main pbx. U can also do the command "change syn" to set up the syn plan. Only the boards that are being used for for synch should have "slip detection? yes". If when u do "status syn" and the system has any ds1 boards, and the syn is on the tone board, then u will get slips on your t-1 trunks and complaints from your users. set the syn back to the proper t-1 board.
