To Create an Account Code:
1. Select Account Code in the Configuration Tree
2. Right-click within the right hand side of the window and select New.
3. Enter the code to be used to track specific calls.
• Note that alphabetic characters can only be used in conjunction with users dialing from Phone Manager.
• Entering a Caller ID means that the account code is automatically assigned to incoming or outgoing calls with the same Caller ID.
4. After sending these configuration changes to the Control Unit, a user can enter one of these codes when making a call. Note that new account codes and amendments can be merged without having to reboot the system.
To Force the Use of an Account Code:
A User can be forced to enter an Account Code when making an external call.
1. Tick the Force Account Code option in the Telephony tab of the User's configuration form
2. If the user is using Phone Manager, they see an error message. 20 Series, 4400 series and 6400 series handset users see a request to enter an account code on the phone’s display.
