The feature is remotely activated by AUDIX development personnel shortly after ordering; no additional media are installed, nor is an on-site technician necessary.
For external calls, the switch will provide seven or ten digit calling party numbers to Intuity AUDIX. AUDIX will accept the calling party number, play an external greeting if the subscriber has administered one, and take the message-either voice or fax. When the subscriber retrieves the message, AUDIX’s telephone-user interface and Message Manager will include the calling party number in the header information for the message. For example, subscribers hear "message from extension 303 555 0782" over the telephone.

I've been trying to research this topic on the Avaya website and they mainly discuss just calls that are generated from the system and not what I'm looking for, which is if you call me and leave me a VM.. when I go to retrieve the message and listen to the header I want to be able to hear the number you called me from. Does the CPN feature do this. Believe it or not.. my own sales people can't get me this answer...
