Music on hold volume
I have a situation with a G3si and a Cisco Call Manager. Both are hooked up to the same music source, a Comcast cable box that is tuned to a music channel.
The problem is that on Avaya the music is very low volume and on Cisco it is blaringly loud. If I use the Comcast remote to turn the volume down to where the Cisco is at an acceptable level then it can't be heard on Avaya. The volume basically has to be at maximum to be heard on Avaya.
The Avaya MOH is on an analog port, has a single white/blue pair from the 110 frame. One wire goes to the one wire from an RCA plug and the other goes to another RCA plug.
I have tried:
Plugging in both RCA to the R&L on the Comcast box, no volume change.
Plugging one RCA into the jack that Cisco is using, no volume change. Tried both RCA this way.
Put a ground on one of the RCA plugs (tried both) no volume change.
The Avaya MOH has always been faint and when it was hooked up years ago I remember turning the volume up on the Comcast. Hooking Cisco up to it has revealed that the volume is LOUD but not on the Avaya. Cisco is using an RCA to USB connection on the (R) RCA jack and Avaya is using the (L) RCA jack.
Any wiring suggestions?
