If you have never done VDN/vector programming before, that can get to be a rather involved conversation so I am not going there right now except for a couple questions.

What is the software release of your PBX?

Type "display system cust" and look for the page with call center features (in my switch it is page 5), what vector options are enabled?

In the PBX some uses for announcements are queue announcements for hunt groups, unused DID intercept, and outward dialing restrictions. But the biggest use will be with vectors.
