CM 3.1.2, CallCenter 3.0

I want to change the ip-network-region associated with the CMS IP connect Clan board. Ok to do that on the fly, would it kill the connection? I feel like it wouldn't affect the connection at all but want to be sure.. Anyone have any idea?
