I just installed two S8300 servers in a lab at Avaya-U in Denver (I'm in training this week). There is no option in the server configuration webpages to change the connect speed of the S8300, nor is there a need to do so. The S8300 rides directly on the backplane of the media gateway so it's speed/duplex really makes no difference to the gateway stack. However, the ports on the gateway itself -ARE- configurable ... i.e "set port speed/duplex/negotiation" and this is where you will lock the speed/duplex of the media gateway stack back to your corporate network.
Same, same for your VoIP and MGP resources. The bottle-neck is the link from eth1 (for example) back to the LAN and not within the gateway stack itself.
