You can do everything but get rid of the # requirement. To customize the prompt, forget about an entry prompt - go through the system .wav files under your locale (for example, /WAVS/enu for english US) and listen to each one until you find the prompt asking you to enter the persons name and #. Simply replace this wav file with your customized one. Include the option to hit *# to return to the main menu. Then, connect the false result from the dial by name token to your menu (or use a home action).
