I know that Avaya is forcing everyone to be within the last 2 releases for maintenance and support. Since 9.5 works and doesn't have licensing issues it's much more cost effective and you can have anyone support it. And it's ip softphone enabled. FYI for those about to upgrade because Avaya says you HAVE to. Most people are very unhappy with this.
