Well ... that's PARTIALLY true.
You must upgrade to an "S" series server in order to utilize the G350, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the S8700. An S8500 would work just fine and an S8400 with G650s might even be even cheaper. However, an "S" series server MUST be in the mix to make the G350 work.
Another option would be to install an S8300 in the G350 thereby making it a stand-alone PBX. Then you could DCS it back to the G3si via IP trunking and utilize the voicemail system at the Main location as Centralized VM.
