Any modular messaging experts?
I have a question about modular messaging in a disaster recovery design. If I have MM at one site and a duplicate system at another site, is all configuration and MAC automatically updated between the systems?
That is what some documentation I have read seems to say and the setup I am researching specifically says a "Survivable" modular messaging. I just want to make sure that is the case before I state that it is.
A reason that I am asking is that a comparable Cisco system with Unified Messaging involves doing an actual backup and restore of the main system to the backup site. Cisco says that voicemail would be available while the restore was running and would involve a restart of the SERVICE after it was done. I don't have an answer of what about changes since the last backup? I could be restoring x6150 that used to be Bob, who left the company, and now x6150 belongs to Carol but the backup was from before Bob left so am I now restoring Bob's mailbox and password, etc.?
