Re: Modular Messaging

Hey hey hey, I happen to be a business partner with plenty of excellent MM installs. Both exchange and MSS... even some MSS with exchange... lol but we have been contracted by both business partners of varrying level, and by Avaya to investigate implementation and ongoing issues.

mabill, suffice it to say that there is a lot of preparation and expertise that goes into the successful implementation of MM on exchange. Both on the MM side and in the exchange environment. I'm assuming that you are using MM1.1 for exchange as opposed to 3.0. MWI is a service that runs on the MM server, there is also a separate database for MWI, who's light is on and who's is off. This has been known to get 'stuck' at times, but not very frequently. To give more MWI insight I'd have to know more about the PBX and manner of integration.

As to AD issues, what kinds? There are a few 'AD issues' that arise if the customer isn't coached properly on how to manage the users, such as a mailbox number being assigned to a user that doesn't exist in AD anymore, but once they get down with the MM admin it's pretty straightforward.
