Re: System 25 Software

I never saw a terminal hooked up full time to a System 25. When they first came out terminals were expensive and the customers for Sys25 were low end and did not want to spend the money for a dedicated terminal.

What I used was a device that used a roll of fax paper (the kind that got dark if left in the sun light) and printed one line at a time, no GUI. As I remember, first I typed an action code and pressed enter, then a command code pressing enter, then a data code pressing enter. The terminal I carried with me was about 5" x 12" x 2" and had the number 700 in the name, possibly Silent 700 or something like that.

Keep in mind that my memories are way more than a decade old for this device. Compared to the System 75 (now Definity) which was also available at that time, it was a very cumbersome machine to program. Since it was at the small end of what I worked on I did not see very many. Good luck!
