Re: transfer to outside line
I just tested this here and this is what happened.
If I called my phone from a phone that has full capabilities to call off site, I could transfer - 9 - transfer and provide a trunk for the other phone to make a successful call off site.
If I restricted the other phone to station-to-station calls only, I could give it a trunk to make a call on but as soon as the restricted phone finished dialing the outside number the PBX asked for an auth code. Nor could I dial the whole number and then transfer the station to it, my phone totally ignored my attempts to do so.
Attendant consoles are a different kind of phone so even though you have the same COR/COS it can still do things you can't.
