I just pulled the data sheet on this SPA-1001. The IP portion is driven by SIP and unless there is an Avaya SIP Enablement Services (SES) server in the picture, or some other VOIP gateway supporting SIP at the Main site that can take a station port from Communication Manager then this SPA-1001 is not a happening thing. Communication Manager does not do SIP natively. CM will do H.323 out of the box, but not SIP.
