Re: denial event 2329

Did this denial event happen only once or can it be repeated consistently? Also, did both denial events (1644 and 2329) occur each time? Getting two denial events on a call is unusual.

The D2 entry is the key to the problem so I will break down the D2 for denial 2329.

The description for denial event 2329 is "No bandwidth channel resources between processor and IP end point".

D2=0x31b breaks into two parts, 0x3 is the location of the problem and 1b is the cause. 1b converts to decimal 27 and 0x3 is location code 3. The descriptions follow, quoting from the book.

0x3 = Transit Network. For example, the long distance network to which the call was passed by the LEC.

1b = Destination out of order. The call cannot be delivered to the remote endpoint because the interface to the endpoint is not functioning correctly. A signalling message could not be delivered to the remote device (for example, there is a physical or data link layer failure at the remote device, or the remote device is turned off). Communication Manager does not originate Cause Value 27.

In english this means the device you were calling is either programmed incorrectly, turned off, something has failed at the far end, or there is a network problem. In any case, the problem is not at your end.
