I recently went to a demo by Avaya on the S8700.....The term Definity is going to (has) become a legacy term associated with the G3r and ECS terms...etc. The new term associated witht he S8700 is Avaya Communications Manager (which recently replaced the MultiVantage terms used for R11.) The S8700 is a migration path for existing "Definity" systems.
