Can you post how you tried to do this and what kind of phones your using?

Dial should be used with outside numbers and the # should be the same as you would dial. So if you dial 9 for outside line, then 1 for LD, then 10 digit it would look like this:
Dial
911231231234

From a 64xx phone, you use Menu, Menu, Next, ProgA, Next, DSS, then select Dial or User (internal ext), punch in the # to dial, press the button you wish to program.

I don't have any other phones, so I don't know the process for others.
