What version of Meridian mail are you using?
I have been working with MM for 10 years and have never heard of this happening.
I have to ask, are you sure it is Meridian Mail?
If it is Meridian Mail you may need to get your maintenance provider out to look at the system. I have asked several other Meridian techs about this and none of them have ever heard of this happening so you may have a problem with the system.
