Re: help - mapping 1 channel to 1 extension

Ok to clarify further..

We have analog stations hooked to the pbx, and we have a dialer connected by 6 PRI T1's that are just internal between the pbx and the dialer for agent lines.

(analog phone)-----------------------> (PBX)---------outward pri * 6 ------------------> (DIALER)

What I want to happen is to have if a user dials 2001 on the phone, it will go out of the pbx over the trunk port I specify and send DNIS of 2001 out to the IVR type application using dialogic cards.

Currently I know that trunk groups will work, and I have tested this. Our vendor however has an unusual configuration where they say they must have 2001 point to channel 1, 2002 point to channel 2, 2023 to channel 23 of first T1, and then 2024 point to channel 1 of the second T1 and so forth.. We use a dialer from Stratasoft Inc.

The one trunk group group per channel is problematic because we have more than 99 stations, and trunk groups have a hard limit of 99 in our system.

I tried to setup a DS1FD station, and I took the first port A0501 out of the trunk group and assigned it to the DS1FD station. When I dialed this however I would get a busy. I was tracing the log actively so I know that it did not even seem to hit the Dialer/IVR

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Jeremy
