Ok - so lets say I have trunk group 1, and I have 72 members like 01b1201 for a port

My phone system will let me put ds1fd for a phone type, but once I put b1201 for the port, it says that it is already assigned.

Can you explain how ds1fd works in channel setup and t1 setup?

Sounds like a great solution if it will work - I also considered the 1 trunk group to 1 channel idea but our licensing doesn't allow that many trunk groups.
