Ok, you now have my curiosity :)

I have installed quite a lot of 46XX phones and we have never set them up to do their own backup and restore. I don't see the point of doing that.

The phone configuration is stored in the PBX, its' own parameters are stored in the eeprom in the phone. If the phone dies, the replacement has to get the files from the tftp server. What does an ftp backup gain you?

There is no mention of this in the 3.0. documentation (that I have found yet).

Today is going to be a good day because I will learn something. Teach me.
