The telephone version of a network hub is called a PBX. You have one box in an equipment room that connects to the incoming CO (Central Office) dial tone and all the phones you wish to connect to it. If your incoming CO lines are DIDs (Direct Inward Dial) then the incoming caller will be able to call each phone directly. If they are not DIDs then the incoming call will go to an attendant (either a person or a computer) who will transfer the call to the correct person. Another option you can add is voice mail.

The phone types can be analog, digital, or IP but they must be compatible to the PBX. Avaya makes several, Merlin, Legend, Partner, and Spirit.

You can buy from Avaya or any of hundreds of resellers selling new or refurbished equipment.
